EAT: M. HENRY / Andersonville/Edgewater

In Andersonville, everyone talks about M. HENRY. Look at the photos and you’ll see why. Two different trips– cinnamon french toast the first time. And, quiche for the most recent visit. Service is friendly and while the restaurant was clearly busy, we didn’t feel rushed — a brunch must-have. Already looking forward to the next… Continue reading EAT: M. Our last day in Asheville started with a great brunch downtown at TUPELO HONEY CAFE. Because we were in town on a slow Wednesday morning, we were able to snag a cozy table outside. We ordered the Eggs Betty and Southern Fried Chicken Saltimbocca with Country Ham and Mushroom Marsala Sauce; both were excellent. My… Continue reading TUPELO HONEY CAFE / Asheville, NC

Brunch at PLAYA

Had brunch at Playa last week! I’ve been to Playa for small plates and cocktails and walked away thinking the food was tasty but pricey. (It’s always a bit of a bummer to spend $60/person and be starving an hour later.) Brunch prices also seem to be a few dollars than similar fare elsewhere (e.g. $15 burger) but the food, again, was tasty. If you’re willing to spend the extra cash, the Latin twist of traditional brunch items is worth trying out.

I’ve eaten at The Hudson a couple times– brunch and dinner– and each time the food was great! I love the indoor/outdoor feel and the location just off the Boulevard contributes to a more relaxed feel than a lot of Weho spots. I really wanted to try the chicken and waffles but couldn’t figure out… Continue reading THE HUDSON

That’s the White Truffle Oil & Mushroom Mac & Cheese pictured above. OMG. Sooo good. Grilled Cheese with Tomato… Continue reading TASTE Prix Fix

It seems like everyone’s doing a bottomless champagne/mimosa or drink special brunch these days. Sunday Funday must be going strong. This Sunday, we started at TONY’S on Sunset Blvd. My Eggs Benedict were fabulous and the $5 cocktails menu was pretty rad as well. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Parking lot adjacent to shopping… Continue reading TONY’S

On Sunday, we headed over to David Myers’ Comme Ça in West Hollywood for brunch. The company was great, the food was fantastic and the drinks were superfragilistic. Check out those drinks (pictured below) — it’s called a Penicillin. It’s a wonderful concoction made with scotch, pureed ginger, lemon and honey poured over one giant… Continue reading COMME ÇA
