I went to go check out HONEY BUTTER CHICKEN over the weekend. First thoughts: everyone was super nice, lots of parking, no wait (if you’re in before noon), good cocktails and the chicken may have been a touch overhyped. It was good. I could have kept eating. But…I kept thinking “good, not great.”
I got the two-piece chicken plate and my pal got the sweet potato hash topped with fried chicken. The hash was really good. That may have been what kept getting stuck in the back of my mind. I guess I expect that if you’re gonna be all about chicken it would have been my two-piece fried that would have been the star of the show.
It may be too early to make a definitive call. And, given the friendlieness of the staff, I’m more than happy to check it out again. Stay tuned.
