Last week, I went to New York for Forrester’s Forum For Customer Experience. While I was in town, I grabbed dinner with a friend at THE SMITH (Midtown). Dinner was great! Service was excellent from the time we walked in. We had reservations but the place was crowded and they were unable to seat us right away. The hostess was apologetic without being patronizing. And, our server was fantastic. Kept the drinks right on coming. We knew we were off to a great start with the burrata with pesto, fried red peppers, tomato jam and ciabatta (pictured, above). The entrees were equally excellent. I had Beef Stroganoff – their Tuesday special (pictured, below). And, J. ordered Trout Milanese. I only wish I had room to keep eating; having to leave burrata on the table was heartbreaking.
Final Thoughts: Make a reservation. Highly recommended.
