EAT: UNCOMMON GROUND / Rogers Park

Attended the Glenwood Ave Arts Festival in Rogers Park and happily stumbled upon (thanks to my Yelp app) the very fabulous UNCOMMON GROUND restaurant. Complete with rooftop organic garden, Uncommon Ground “uses seasonal, locally produced, family farmed & organic products whenever possible.” I thoroughly enjoyed the bacon wrapped meatloaf (shown above) with Q7 farms beef, gunthorp farms pork, potato purée, bordelaise and  seasonal vegetables. My two dinner companions ordered the Q7 farm burger with prairie pure cheddar cheese, fried egg, pickled red onion, jones farm cherry wood bacon and whitefish with littleneck clams and chicken sausage in smoked tomato paprika broth with grilled Shishito peppers (below). Raves all around. And, we topped it off with delicious Smores lattes (below). Yum, yum.

Final Thoughts: Highly recommended.
