Getting this post up a little late…. A while back, a few friends from LA came out to visit. One of them really, really wanted to try the RALPH LAUREN RESTAURANT. Located adjacent to their fabulous store on Chicago Avenue, the place was packed with well-heeled folks dripping in RL. We squeezed into a small table at the end of the bar and settled in for a quick, light lunch. First thing to note: the service was amazing. Really great. Top-notch. Living in LA you start to forget what a fun experience it is to dine with servers who take their jobs seriously.

I had the Lobster Bisque. Again, amazing. It may have been the best Lobster Bisque I’ve ever had. One pal ordered the Steak Tartare and the other got Carmelized Onion Goat Cheese Tart (both shown above). We split a fantastic Key Lime Pie (shown below). A couple really well-made cocktails polished it all off nicely.

Final thoughts: If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by; the cramped seating makes getting a table iffy. Bring your RL game or do your best to ignore the snotty looks. Service pushes this over the mark and makes this: Highly Recommended.
