Pareo, Sarong or Wrap?

This is Part II of our request from our friend, Z., to help her find something that she could take the beach to keep from feeling overexposed. As you well know, I wear wraps all year long so I was all over this challenge. Our requirements: keep them light and breezy for hot weather, yet versatile enough to wear off the beach.

Here are my picks, clockwise from top left:

YARNZ Mexican Skulls Scarf
100% linen. 2′ wide by 6.5′ long.
$55 at Shopbop

MADEWELL Weaver’s Scarf
What a way to brighten up any outfit. Cotton. 86 1/2″L x 21 1/2″W.

J. CREW Stripe Jersey Scarf

100% cotton. 80″ x 46″.
$55 at Piperlime

LEMLEM® Nika wrap
International Goodwill Ambassador Liya Kebede’s Lemlem line, meaning “to bloom” in Amharic, was started as a way of providing Ethiopian weavers with a means to escape poverty. This piece was designed exclusively for J.Crew. Cotton/rayon. Import. Hand wash. 64″L x 23″W.
$65 at J. Crew

Light and breezy. Linen. 70 4/5″L x 23 2/3″W.
