Our newest featurette is a fun one. We started thinking…why do I always see outfits for the same time period and events. Meaning, there’s always someone talking about “Great Date Night Outfit” or “Weekend Wear” but how about something more specific? Like, what if I have a date at the taco truck?
Well…here you go. Our first featurette in this series is called: What Would Buzzhype Do: Date at a Taco Truck
Hey, times are tough. We’re all trying to make the most of our hard-earned dollars*. And, now with roving restaurants on wheels — you can economize (and stay uber-urban-hipster) with a date at a taco truck.
The key to this outfit is a great pair of flats because more likely than not, you’ll be standing up during your entire meal. If you picked a good one, you’ll also be standing while you’re in line. And there’s nothing less hipster than a woman who is clearly uncomfortable in her too-high heels. I love the all black sans white shoes….
The white perforated leather lace-ups are hot, hot, hot! Reminds me of seeing Santigold at the Hollywood Bowl last year. Come on, Santigold. Hollywood Bowl. Is there anything more uber-urban-hipster? I don’t think so.

J. CREW Stretch Twill Minnie Pant
You’re wearing pants because it’s still a little chilly in LA. And taco truck means outdoors. Plus, if location has makeshift seating…these are way better than a dress.

ALTERNATIVE APPAREL The Diane Burnout V-Neck Tunic
Eating while standing…risky. This black burnout tee is perfect. Just the right amount of sheer to stay sexy. Dark enough to camouflage accidental sauce drips.

Respect your date and don’t be late. I have this watch in this exact color (“rubine”) and I love it. An unexpected and fun pop of bright color.
