Last week, I had dinner at AMALFI on La Brea. I ordered the Pizza Margherita (which was yummy) but it was R’s Strozzapreti with chicken– curly pasta with chicken, asparagus, mushrooms, in a cream sauce — that makes me want to go back for more. Deeeeelicious. Adam Carolla is one of Amalfi’s owners, but the real interesting piece of trivia is that Amalfi sits on the site of the former Swanee Inn. Sound familiar? Nat King Cole formed The King Cole Trio at the Swanee.
