On Saturday night, we headed to MUSHA for T’s birthday get-together. Westsiders have been telling me about this place for years. The staff was great and the food was fabulous. I’m still thinking about the Itame Somen (garlic noodles). Our top picks:

Spicy Tuna Dip: Spicy tuna with crispy rice cracker. $8.95

Kakuni: Pork belly with egg and potato. $8.95 (pictured above)

Itame Somen: Japanese angel hair noodles pan fried with sesame oil, sake, garlic, chives and soy sauce. $6.80

Cheese Risotto: Japanese grain brown rice cooked with chicken broth, pan fried with bacon onion and a touch of heavy cream. Served in a whole cheese at the table. $8.80

Butakim: Pork belly sauteed with kimchi and mushrooms. $7.80
