You may have seen that we’ve mentioned Gilt a couple times. They’re one of the “private sale” sites that are all the rage these days — offering designer goods at discounted prices. Because we’ve recommended this retailer, it would seem responsible to update our readers re: the retraction of our nomination.
The Stella McCartney bag we received was great, but not the one we ordered. And, one week after we first emailed (4 messages sent; numerous calls unanswered at their HQ) — we have yet to hear from them. Not a peep.
Clearly, their logistical issues leave much to be desired. Don’t be fooled by the glam. If you can’t get what you ordered and you can’t even get someone to help you out — was the discount worth it? This experience was bad enough that we won’t be back. We urge you not to make the same mistake.
