I’m continuing with my Nutrisystem meal plan but I’ve found that I have an easier time if I can supplement the plan with non-packaged foods. Now that Nutrisystem has taught me what my calorie/fat/carb daily limits should be I think I’m getting better at preparing my own healthy/healthier foods. My favorite breakfast item is the Nutrisystem Blueberry Muffin so I set out to find a DIY equivalent. I came across a great recipe from Granlund (user handle) on SparkPeople. These muffins turned out great and were delicious! Each muffin has approx. 4.9g of fat, 22.9g carbohydrates, 3g of protein and 143 calories. My Nutrisystem muffin has 3g of fat, 28g of carbs, 7g of protein and 170 calories.

Pretty good…I think.
